Psychic Vampires: How to Not Allow Them Ruin Your Life

These are the people that once you see them at the grocery store you want to jump between shelves and hide. Or when they come knocking on your door, or they are always invading your life, and you see who it is, you simply pretend you’re not home.  At the mall as they come at you--you just keep walking and pretend you don’t see them. If you are nice to them, in any way, they will plague your life like a disease and you will become their victim.

Psychic vampires are people who feed upon any energy or time you are willing to give them. Thus, they are energy thieves and robbers of life. They exhaust you, even when they seem lovable or nice. Sometimes this is done by bringing you things you never asked for, or flattering you in order to keep your guard down.  They must draw upon your vital energies because they aren’t able to draw upon their own -- In truth, these people are often hollow shells and have no real positive energy. They may promise many things to ingratiate themselves but usually break those promises.

They tend to feed upon people who seem to have a lot of psychic energy and their "hosts" often have powerful auras which attracts them. Psychic Vampires absolutely love psychics, because psychics give off so much energy. Almost everyone has experienced the common vampire interaction that left them both mentally and physically fatigued. Or they find empaths and sensitive people who do not have strong boundaries, ones unable to fend them off.

Once you recognize one or two, they become very easy to spot. They tend to hog the conversation, are typically hypochondriacs and don't tolerate being alone very well. Since you are the host and they are the parasite, they must have you or believe they cannot even stay alive. You become their "everything." It will seem their lives revolve around yours.

Vampires push their way in even when you resist, ignoring your boundaries in a way no normal person would since a normal person has respect for you and a psychic vampire does not. The fact of the matter is, they don't care about you, all they care about is what you can do for them.

 A psychic vampire is never really cured. They must find new “hosts” since their energy constantly needs replenished. They have no idea how to build energy on their own. After finding a host they latch on, never letting up until the person gets quite aggressive with them and forces them away. They are attracted to group settings, in such group setting psychic vampirism can involve a number of vampires and victims. 

 Those who become victims over time can develop chronic fatigue syndrome, memory loss, mental confusion, and anxiety. You will also notice whenever they are around you get very little done... all that matters to them is to drain you so YOUR ENERGY will support them. They care about little else even when they insist they care greatly for you.  You can block them with a strong internal system, and by recognizing them for what they are and not allowing them to latch on the moment it starts.

Psychic Vampires are not evil people but they are selfish people. They consider nothing but what they need and they will feast off the energy or kindness of others for their own aims.

How to recognize a Psychic Vampire in your Life.

A. Their constant talking and dominating the conversation drains you. You become their sole entertainment.

B. You soon become aware of their selfishness. Taking while not ever sharing. At times they will give some but this is simply to entrap you. They may even bring you little gifts, but this is just to make you feel obligated to them.

C. These people constantly plague you, while your energy and health just gets worse and worse.

D. You start feeling light-headed and confused around them. They may drug you as they like you weak and unable to fight them off.

E. Some don’t talk much but stare at you pointedly. They steal energy that way, too.

F. They follow you everywhere, almost to the point of stalking. After all, you are their prey.

G. They constantly invade your privacy and ignore boundaries.  Even when you let them know gently you don't want them there, they will pretend not to hear it or understand and stalk you anyway.

H.    You may feel slightly repulsed by them and want to back away from them as they step close or inside your aura or energy field.

I. Something tells you not to get close. Most won't take "no" for an answer and find ways to bulldoze their way in anyway.

J. They are resistant to positive change, not willing to give their energy to any changes. You will notice they hardly do anything positive in their lives but they will pretend to.

 

K. Often in the New Age healing professions. They will claim to heal psychically because they need to steal someone else’s energy but are in denial over this.

L. You may have nightmares about the person.

M. You feel drunk or drugged around them.

N. They claim they are the real victims.

O. A marked inability to form long term relationships. Many bad endings.

P. Enjoys crowds and hates being alone.

Q. You cannot get rid of the person. Even rudeness does not keep them away.

R. Your etheric/pranic energy is in fact, their food. If you stop giving them energy or what they want, they will go away and find another host to feed off of.

S. A marked plainness or blandness in appearance or personality. They need to fit in so as not be suspect.

T. They are secretive about many areas of their lives and are careful as to what they reveal which isn’t much. They will only tell you "half-truths."

U. Other people avoid them, too.

V. They tend to be hypochondriacs though most hypochondriacs are not psychic vampires.

W. They pretend to be caretakers and loving people, where upon they frequent hospitals where they can more easily steal energy.

X. You get the creepy crawlies around them for no good reason.

Y. In a group, they will single someone out to feed off of and then never leave that person’s side.

Z. Unless you break contact, your life will never be what it is meant to be.

Energy Vampires Need Your Positive Energy

Energy vampires come in all shapes and sizes: loud and aggressive, soft-spoken and shy, charming and seductive, pushy and overbearing. Energy vampires have energy leaks that they need to fill. It's up to you to stop energy vampires from draining your positive energy. Often energy vampires don't even realize they're bleeding you dry. They usually think they are really great people-- sweet and kind-- there is no shadow. However, they are quite dangerous in the long run.
 

Energy vampires have often suffered some sort of crisis, whether in childhood or adulthood, and they're compensating to get rid of their negative energy. Energy vampires may not be deliberately, maliciously stealing your positive energy -- but they're definitely not contributing to a fantastic relationship.

12 Ways to Protect Yourself From Psychic Vampires:

 

1. Limit the amount of time you spend with energy vampires. The less time you're together, the less positive energy you'll lose.

2. Learn effective ways to end conversations with energy vampires (eg, I only have ten minutes to talk.")

3. Stay calm and detached from energy vampires. Don't let their negative energy consume you.

4. Be honest about your needs (eg, "I need this time to work/read/relax/exercise.")

5. Refrain from attempting to rescue them or fix an energy vampire's problems. You can't because they don't want you to.

6. Practice walking away from energy vampires.; the more you do it, the easier it gets.

7. Limit eye contact with energy vampires.

8. Cross your ankles when communicating with them as this frustrates their drawing energy away from you. In fact, it can stop the energy from being pulled from your body.

9. Avoid being in close spaces with energy vampires (elevators, cars, etc). Negative energy is catching.

10. Define and guard your personal space from energy vampires. Do not allow them into your living space--even once. They will be back, making excuses, so they can feed upon you some more.

11. Avoid any close friendship with an energy vampire. It cannot end up positive.

12. If you do not disentangle, they will ruin your reputation and your life. You owe them nothing for their flattery. It's not sincere anyway.

Woodticks have to suck off the living blood of a living host, or else they cannot live or thrive. Psychic Vampires are similar. They must suck off your pranic, psychic or living energy in order to survive. What happens when this all stops, it an interesting question. My guess would be psychic vampires probably don’t live as long as other people. It would be extremely distressing to have your “energy source” taken away so many times and that must take its toll.

However, such vampires can affect your physical and emotional health negatively. It’s important to keep up your defenses around these energy thieves.

Recently, a few foolish individuals who have appeared on ghost television shows have touted themselves as “psychic vampires” in which they admit they feed off the energy of others. These are confused persons in the Goth movement with fantasies about fictional vampires but who have no idea what a psychic vampire is. True psychic vampires are more clever than that. Most are likely members of a traditional church as they can hide their true motives there, churches are places where members aren't supposed to judge nor reject people. But if these TV "psychic vampires" could see how plain and bland a true psychic vampire is, they’d not make such a claim.

These are not Anne Rice or Twilight Vampires, they are the persons you’d otherwise not notice if you didn’t feel the need to escape them whenever he or she starts coming your way. They are hardly glamorous. The bottom line is, once you figure them out—don’t give them another inch.

Once the Psychic Vampires can no longer feed on your energy they will simply find another host and disappear. No wooden stake or garlic needed.
